Job Description:

This 13-week contract in Omaha, Nebraska, offers Registered Nurses an opportunity to work on the 4th Floor North of the Medical Surgical Neuro unit. The shifts are 12 hours long, from either 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours. During orientation, you will take a pass/fail exam on Friday, which is open book and includes skills review—aim for at least 90% to pass. The focus is on managing diverse neuro and med/surg patients, including strokes, post-surgical cases, joint replacements, and respiratory conditions, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6. You will not troubleshoot RT equipment but will engage in hourly rounding, respond to admissions and discharges, and support a culturally diverse patient population. The environment emphasizes teamwork, attendance, and compassion, with nurses working alongside techs and aides to ensure quality care.
