Job Description:

Join a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, Alabama as a travel Registered Nurse for an opportunity that stays hands-on and fast-paced—without the mystery. Your assignment will be placed on a home unit during orientation, with a structured rotation and a 4-week schedule cycle using Smart Square. Shift hours run 7a–7p or 7p–7a (36 hours per week), supporting a mix of trauma, neuroscience, med-surg/oncology, clinical decision unit, and orthopedics depending on your unit placement. You’ll work with a dedicated unit support model including CNA coverage, phlebotomy, and an IV/VAT team, while using Cerner EMR (preferred) and Plum 360 IV pumps.

First-time travelers are welcome. Minimum 18 months of MedSurg and/or ICU experience is required, and EPIC or Cerner experience is needed. If your background is strictly ICU, Cerner is required. Expect onboarding that includes classroom and unit time (24 hours each) for new-to-facility travelers or those returning after 1+ years away, plus unit-specific training starting on day one.

Expect mild to warm days with occasional showers and comfortable evenings. Humidity can be noticeable, so staying hydrated and planning for brief rain is always helpful.
