Job Description:

This travel RN role places you at Deaconess Midtown on the night shift, working 12-hour overnight shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. You'll be responsible for caring for a diverse Med/Surg patient population, including post-surgical cases, UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk patients. The assignment offers the chance to engage in advanced charting on EPIC, utilize skills like chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, and managing blood products, all while navigating a unit with experienced leadership and strong CNA support. The contract lasts for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, and includes opportunities for overtime after 52 hours. Cross-campus float to Newburgh (IN) and Henderson (KY) may occur with short notice, providing variety in your work environment. This position challenges your assessment and critical thinking skills in a busy, teaching hospital setting that may involve precepting students or new hires.
