Job Description:

Join a specialized Cardiac Progressive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse on a 16-week contract in Rapid City, SD. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts in a unit that manages a mix of intermediate, telemetry, and med-surg cardiac patients. You'll handle direct admits, post-cath recovery, and post-open heart procedures, often coordinating complex care for patients with MI, arrhythmias, and post-procedure recovery. Be prepared to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage titratable meds like Cardizem or Amiodarone. You’ll work primarily on a team with CNA support and oversight from tele techs and hospitalists. The assignment offers the chance to demonstrate your skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, with opportunities to float to sister units as needed. Expect two days of partial education before starting your shifts, and enjoy a schedule every other weekend and holiday off.
