Job Description:

This emergency department RN role offers an engaging opportunity to work in a busy community hospital setting known for handling a diverse patient population, including both adult and pediatric emergencies. The position involves shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a typical commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks. The hospital features a 27-bed ER where staff are primarily scheduled for a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, occasionally stretching to 5 during peak times. You'll be part of a dedicated team managing a wide spectrum of urgent cases, from strokes to trauma, in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and quick thinking. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association, and candidates should have at least 2 years of ER experience. Weekend shifts vary, with 5-6 shifts expected, but no fixed weekends are assigned. Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday. While on-call is not mandatory, staff members have the option to pick up additional hours. Navy Blue scrubs are the standard attire for this role.
