Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in the bustling surgical units of Aberdeen, SD, offering a chance to gain hands-on experience in a variety of specialties including general, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics. You'll be circulating in the OR, preparing and assisting with cases, managing equipment like arthroscopic pumps and laser systems, and working from a preference card system to support smooth surgical procedures. The role requires at least 2 years of OR experience, and your duties will include setting up and cleaning OR rooms, documenting procedures, and ensuring the readiness of surgical tools and equipment. Expect to work full-time hours on variable 8-hour shifts with a rotation that includes call coverage, weekends, and holidays. The environment emphasizes organizational skill and attention to detail, with the opportunity to float within the peri-operative department, including pre-op, post-op, and PACU. Necessary licensure includes SD RN License, and BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS preferred.
