Job Description:

This travel nursing assignment places you on a fast-paced intensive care unit within a 35-bed facility in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with cardiac issues, nephrology needs, strokes, and diabetes, along with continuous EEG monitoring. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, gaining experience in titrating drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications. Your duties include collaborating with charge nurses and support staff, managing patient assignments, and applying critical thinking skills to solve complex clinical situations. Candidates should carry certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, and must pass a skills exam during orientation. The setting demands a positive attitude, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities to thrive in a high-energy environment. Note that artificial nails are prohibited and a driver’s license is required for radius verification. The assignment lasts 13 weeks with an estimated gross weekly pay of approximately $2,021, averaging 36 hours weekly.
