Job Description:

Join our team at a well-respected hospital in Augusta, GA, for a 13-week contract working on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a Critical Care Nurse, you'll manage a 29-bed unit with patient ratios typically around 1:4 to 1:5. The role involves monitoring cardiac and insulin drips, performing frequent assessments, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for patients recovering from various conditions. This assignment provides an opportunity to work with advanced equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs monitors in a supportive team environment that values teamwork and self-scheduling. Experience with ACLS certification and familiarity with cardiac protocols are required. Expect to work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, with some opportunities for night shifts if desired.
