Job Description:

This 13-week assignment places you in a surgical acute unit in Peoria, Illinois, working 12-hour night shifts. As a Registered Nurse, you'll manage post-operative surgical patients, trauma cases, and overflow medical cases, including dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, and central lines. You'll support a team of charge nurses and house supervisors, with responsibilities including critical patient monitoring and collaboration with PCTs who assist with vitals and ADLs. Expect to troubleshoot respiratory equipment like Cpap and high-flow systems and participate in telemetry monitoring. This role emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and bedside manner, offering a rewarding experience in a busy hospital environment.
