Job Description:

Join a specialized Medical Surgical RN team for a 13-week contract in Wilmington, NC, working 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment, managing complex cases such as traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and neurological trauma. The position requires proficiency in IV management, heparin drips, blood product administration, and central line care. Epic documentation and active RN licensure are necessary, along with a set of specific skills including ACLS, dysrhythmia interpretation, and wound care. You will experience a fast-paced setting that emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability. RTO is limited to 7 days, and floating to similar units within inpatient care is expected. This assignment is ideal for nurses comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5-6 and prepared to work during a storm or disaster, with weekend shifts every other week.
