Job Description:

Join a specialized pediatric intensive care team as a PICU Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing high-level nursing care to critically ill children in the 8N Pediatric ICU at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital. Your focus will include performing bedside procedures such as central line and arterial line placements, lumbar punctures, intubations/extubations, and managing complex equipment like Hamilton G5 ventilators and ECMO cannulations. The shift is 12 hours overnight, offering a chance to experience the hospital’s vibrant pediatric trauma and surgery environment, with collaboration from board-certified pediatric intensivists. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PICU experience, be comfortable floating within pediatric and cardiac units, and hold current BLS and PALS certifications. First-timers with PICU experience are welcome to apply, and pending licenses are acceptable.
