Job Description:

Join a specialized cardiac thoracic unit in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel assignment as a registered nurse. You'll be working 12-hour day shifts, delivering advanced care to patients with conditions like MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, and post-surgical cases including lung surgeries and pacemaker placements. The role involves interpreting EKGs, titrating drips such as Cardizem and heparin, and managing complex medication regimens. This assignment offers a chance to deepen your skills in a busy, adult-focused setting while enjoying the unique rhythm of a specialized cardiothoracic unit that balances patient care with core nursing duties. Equipment use like ventilators, Cpap, Bipap, and telemetry monitoring will be part of your daily workflow, with support from a dedicated team including charge nurses, house supervisors, and PCTs.
