Job Description:

This Cytotechnologist position in Shreveport, LA offers a focused laboratory environment where hands-on work with FNA procedures, Pap smears, and cytology specimen screening takes center stage. You'll be responsible for preparing and analyzing cytology samples, including ThinPrep and smear preparations, while supporting on-site procedures with precise specimen labeling and identification. The role provides an opportunity to be part of a team that handles both GYN and non-GYN cases, working closely with physicians and lab staff. The assignment is uniquely dynamic, sometimes requiring flexibility to respond to emergency situations and assist with unexpected events outside regular hours.
