Job Description:

This travel assignment is for surgical care professionals joining a preoperative surgical center in Wheeling, West Virginia. The role involves performing preoperative assessments, scrubbing for surgical procedures including robotics and overnight stays, and supporting the surgical team during the pre-op phase. The position requires flexibility with 12-hour night shifts, typically from 6 PM to 6 AM, with rotating weekends and on-call coverage to ensure seamless patient preparation. Experience with IV skills, surgical procedures, and EMR systems like Sunrise or EPIC is essential. You'll work within a 50-mile radius, supporting a busy surgical environment with a caseload of 15 cases per day. Expect to collaborate closely with charge nurses and house supervisors, providing vital pre-surgical care in a fast-paced setting and ensuring patient readiness for surgery.
