Job Description:

This contract position calls for a Cytotechnologist skilled in screening and analyzing cytology slides in a clinical setting. You will primarily conduct pre-screening interviews over the phone or via text, and perform slide evaluations onsite at the Cedar Rapids facility. The role involves examining 50-60 slides daily, preparing up to 300 slides each week, and adhering to strict quality standards. You'll experience a schedule of day shifts over 13 weeks, with a workload of 36 hours per week. This assignment is ideal for a professional with at least 12 months of cytotechnology experience, who is comfortable in a fast-paced lab environment and familiar with EPIC EMR and Sunquest systems. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality cytology screening with holiday work required, including potential participation in summer holidays, unless the unit is closed. Your expertise ensures accurate detection of cellular abnormalities, supporting diagnostic precision in a busy laboratory setting.
