Job Description:

Join a busy stepdown unit in Grand Island, Nebraska, for a 13-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role involves managing a diverse patient population from young adults to geriatrics, including cases like sepsis, CHF, stroke, and COVID-19. You'll be responsible for titrating drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, and Insulin, while collaborating with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure smooth nursing operations. Expect a fast-paced environment where admitting and discharging patients often happen within the same shift, requiring strong teamwork and effective communication. The unit emphasizes patient safety and engaging bedside care, with orientation including classroom training and on-the-floor shifts.
