Job Description:

Join a pediatric perioperative team as a Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse in Charlottesville, VA. This role involves caring for young patients in a 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit, with additional responsibilities in the Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU). You'll manage cases requiring overnight observation or extended recovery, with every other weekend work and two of the three winter holidays. The night shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour weekly commitment over 18 weeks. This assignment offers the chance to work in a specialized setting where compassionate, detailed care is essential, and provides opportunities for longer-term placement through early 2027. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required, and VA license is pending approval. Time off can be approved for up to 40 hours.
