Job Description:

This travel contract positions you at a dedicated pediatric psychiatric unit that also accommodates adult patients, located in Bangor, Maine. You will provide mental health nursing care in a 94-bed facility, floating between pediatric (ages 5-18) and adult (18+) units based on staffing needs. Expect to handle diagnoses such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation, among others. Your role involves medication administration, de-escalation, physical restraint, documentation, and sometimes leading group sessions. On this assignment, you will experience the challenge and reward of working in a stable, daylight-focused setting with occasional night shifts and most importantly, making a difference in patients’ recovery journeys.

Shift: 36 hours per week; primarily day shifts with scheduled weekend rotation
