Job Description:

This contract role involves operating Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment in a hospital setting in Hackensack, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and operating imaging devices, evaluating images using PACS, and ensuring proper identification and diagnostic quality. You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform organ imaging and function studies, and assist physicians with therapeutic radioisotope procedures. Attention to radiation safety and meticulous recordkeeping according to regulations are essential. The work schedule consists of five 8-hour days, typically from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Unique aspects include rotating assignments across general nuclear medicine, cardiology, PET/CT, and potentially CT imaging, providing diverse and comprehensive experience.
