Job Description:

Join a busy Medical Surgical unit at a Magnet/Teaching hospital in St. Louis for a 16-week contract. You'll be providing specialized care in a high-volume setting, focusing on patients with diagnoses like colon resections, bladder and colon cancers, and other post-operative conditions. The role involves managing colostomy and feeding tubes, as well as administering blood products and IV therapies such as Heparin, insulin, and PCA. Working 12-hour days, you'll navigate a fast-paced environment where your skills in phlebotomy, central line management, and telemetry monitoring—particularly interpreting dysrhythmias—are essential. Your documentation must be precise, and your team-focused attitude will help maintain excellent patient outcomes. This assignment offers a chance to sharpen your med-surg expertise while working with a diverse team within a state-of-the-art facility, and you'll stay within scope while possibly floating within the service line to meet patient needs.
