Job Description:

Join a reputable hospital in Oklahoma City as an RN specializing in Labor and Birth. This 13-week contract offers a steady 12-hour day shift schedule, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dedicated maternity setting. You will manage a variety of tasks related to labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal health with external fetal monitoring equipment, and collaborating with a skilled team to support mothers through the birthing process. The role emphasizes hands-on involvement in a specialized unit with a small census, ensuring ample opportunities to develop expertise in obstetric nursing while working with a patient load that sometimes requires float to postpartum. Exceptional candidates will possess at least 2 years of labor experience at a hospital delivering 350-400 babies per month, along with required certifications such as BLS, C-EFM, and NRP. Additional certifications like ACLS and PALS are preferred. This assignment combines professional growth with the chance to work in a supportive environment that values experienced RN talent.
