Job Description:

Join a renowned Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital in Macon, GA, for a 13-week RN contract working med-surg/telemetry on 12-hour day shifts. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with diagnoses ranging from orthopedic and trauma cases to post-op recovery and chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. You will be evaluating and caring for patients using advanced cardiac telemetry, IV management, wound care, and post-operative monitoring, all within a fast-paced environment that demands strong clinical assessments. This assignment offers the chance to experience a major trauma center while sharpening your skills in a collaborative team setting. Expect to be involved in discharge planning and patient education, especially around fluid and renal management, with support from a dedicated interdisciplinary team. The hospital values first-time travelers, and the orientation includes a day on the unit plus educational modules. The shift is every 6 weeks, with 36 hours scheduled weekly, including weekend work and holiday shifts, all within a vibrant and team-oriented culture.
