Job Description:

This labor and delivery RN role offers a comprehensive 13-week contract at a bustling facility in Charlottesville, VA. You will be working the night shift, 4 days a week, 12 hours per shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing critical support during the overnight hours. Your responsibilities include clinical review, assisting with low and high-risk deliveries, and possibly floating to NICU or Mother/Baby units. The facility expects you to be cross-trained, including competencies like fetal monitoring and AWHONN intermediate skills, allowing you to adapt as needed. Expect to contribute to a team that handles approximately 2,000 deliveries annually, with a mix of low-risk pregnancies managed by certified nurse midwives and high-risk cases requiring maternal-fetal medicine expertise. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in a vibrant setting that balances routine deliveries with complex cases.
