Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an opportunity to work in a critical access hospital's ER and MedSurg units, focusing on trauma and acute care for rural populations. The role involves managing a diverse patient load including geriatric individuals with dementia, post-surgical rehab patients, and those experiencing chronic illness exacerbations. As part of a team, you'll handle IV medications, blood transfusions, and titrate drips such as electrolytes and hypertensive medications. The shift is 12 hours overnight, with team-based assignments and room for block scheduling. This assignment is perfect for experienced RNs with at least two years of recent clinical experience and a strong understanding of geriatric care, stroke, and skin management. Fluency in interpreting ECG strips and troubleshooting RT equipment is necessary, but RNs will focus on patient assessment and care coordination rather than direct respiratory therapy technical work.
