Job Description:

Step into an ICU nursing role at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, Maine. This 13-week contract involves night shifts spanning 12 hours, offering a chance to hone your critical care skills amidst a busy but supportive environment. You’ll be working with a variety of patients—including trauma, neuro, and post-surgical cases—providing specialized care such as ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and stroke support. Expect the pace to be fast, with patient ratios typically at 1:2, and occasional discharges that bring a third patient into the mix. First-time travelers are welcome, and your experience in neuro and trauma is essential for success. Make your mark with your expertise in critical care procedures—ICU experience with ICP, EVD, and neuro monitoring will help you thrive here—while the hospital’s robust team of specialists ensures you have support every step of the way. This assignment offers the perfect blend of challenging cases and professional growth with a friendly, small-town backdrop that makes work feel a little less like work.
