Job Description:

Join a medical acute care unit in Peoria, Illinois, for an engaging 13-week travel nursing assignment. As an RN, you'll work 12-hour night shifts in a 20-bed general medical unit, providing care to diverse patient needs with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5 by day and 1:5/6 by night. Your role involves collaborating closely with charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care techs, supporting telemetry patients on Phillips monitors. This position emphasizes teamwork and communication, offering a balanced workload with approximately 36 hours weekly. Orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable training, ensuring you're fully prepared for the unique environment. Experience in general medicine and the ability to read telemetry strips are valued. OSF has specific policies, including a local rate for clinicians residing within 50 miles and a call-off policy with no penalty—a relaxed approach to shift changes that promotes well-being. Proper licensing and active IL registration are required, along with submission of the last four digits of your SSN and confirmation of drug screening results. Travel nurses are typically first to float when needed, with flexible scheduling around every other weekend and three holidays throughout the assignment.
