Job Description:

Join this neuro med-surg acute unit in Peoria, Illinois, where you'll work 12-hour night shifts for approximately 36 hours per week over a 13-week contract. Your role will focus on managing patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, and head injuries. Experience with level 1 trauma, neuro-specific skills, and previous travel assignments are required. You'll work within a team that includes charge nurses and house supervisors, ensuring your shift runs smoothly. The job involves managing titratable drips like heparin with PTT monitoring, troubleshooting high-flow oxygen equipment, and collaborating with telemetry staff. Orientation is provided over two days, and you'll be working amidst a supportive environment that values your specialized neuro expertise.
