Job Description:

This RN contract positions you in a high-paced Cardio Thoracic unit specializing in adult cardiac surgery patients. You'll be responsible for interpreting EKGs, titrating medications like heparin and Cardizem, and managing patients with diagnoses such as MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, and post-surgical chest tubes. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, providing critical support during peak hours, and coordinating with charge nurses and house supervisors. This assignment offers a chance to enhance your skills in a busy environment while experiencing the unique rhythm of this Illinois hospital. Orientation includes a single shift, and floating to other medical units may be required. Local rates apply if you reside within 50 miles. OSF emphasizes a drug-free campus, requiring negative drug screens prior to start.
