Job Description:

This 13-week travel nursing assignment places you in the Medical-Surgical unit of a busy hospital, working 12-hour night shifts. You'll be caring for adult patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotic therapy, post-CVA recovery, and trauma. Your responsibilities include PEG tube management, CVC/PICC/Midline care, and tracheostomy care, along with titrating drips like heparin. The role involves using respiratory equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPAP, troubleshooting issues, and reading telemetry strips from housewide tele monitors monitored by the ICU Tech. Expect to work alongside patient care techs and a charge nurse, with the opportunity to float to ICU or Acute Rehab as needed. Scrubs are provided, with OSF-approved T-shirts permitted. Classroom and hands-on unit orientation prepare you for a bustling hospital environment, with guaranteed hours and a local rate incentive if you have a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility.
