Job Description:

This OR RN contract at Aspirus Wausau Hospital offers a comprehensive 13-week assignment for experienced perioperative nurses. You'll work in a large facility with 21 operating rooms spanning various specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, spinal, general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, ENT, and gastrointestinal procedures. Your focus will be on circulating and scrub duties, managing an average caseload of 45 cases daily with shifts occurring at different times between 0700 and 1930 hours. The role emphasizes flexibility, resilience, and a strong work ethic as you may float to other nearby locations and handle downtime tasks. The schedule involves 8-hour days, with guaranteed 40 hours weekly, and may include on-call nights and weekends. This assignment provides an engaging opportunity to work in a busy surgical environment, contributing directly to patient outcomes in a collaborative team setting without direct patient care responsibilities.
