Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an engaging opportunity to work on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Overland Park Regional. As a telemetry and pulmonary step-down nurse, you will monitor and support patients with moderate physiologic instability, such as those recovering from COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, or heart failure. Your role involves assessing cardiac and respiratory status every 2-4 hours, managing equipment like Alaris pumps and ventilators, and coordinating care with a dedicated team using Meditech documentation. The shift is 12-hour nights, with a focus on advanced patient monitoring in a setting that balances complexity and manageable care levels. This assignment is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a dynamic, team-oriented environment with the opportunity to utilize specialized skills in cardiac and pulmonary care.
