Job Description:

This 13-week travel RN position places you on the front lines of cardiac and respiratory care at a trusted medical center in Potsdam, NY. You'll work four 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), with a focus on managing an average of 23 patient visits daily across a unit that houses 30 beds. While float capacity allows flexibility, priority is given to candidates experienced in PCU or med-surg/telemetry settings, especially those familiar with EPIC electronic medical records. Your responsibilities will span a range of patient diagnoses, including stroke, COVID-19, and other infectious conditions, with an emphasis on critical and post-operative monitoring. The unit also features a certified stroke center, and you'll support a team handling patient ratios of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Basic certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS is required, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialized, highly-rated facility with weekend coverage on an every-other-week basis.
