Job Description:

Join our team as a registered nurse in a stepdown/PCU unit located in Weirton, WV, for a 13-week contract. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, providing critical care to cardiac patients, post-pneumonia, post-cath lab, seizure management, and other complex cases. You'll be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, titrating drips such as Heparin and Dopamine, and performing routine patient care duties including vital signs, bathing, and feeding. The unit features a 30-bed capacity with a dedicated team, including charge nurses and patient care techs, and offers a collaborative environment supported by in-house hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of stepdown experience and is comfortable with cardiac monitoring, titrations, and troubleshooting respiratory equipment.
