Job Description:

Join a prestigious Cardiac Renal Unit as a Telemetry RN on a 13-week contract at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. This role is perfect for experienced cardiac telemetry nurses eager to work in a fast-paced environment that combines critical care with complex cardiac interventions. You will handle patient populations including post-cardiac procedures, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, and sepsis cases, interpreting 12-lead EKGs, managing drips such as Cardizem and Amio, and performing PIV insertions. The shift runs 12 hours during daytime hours, with the flexibility to accept 48 hours upon request. Expect to float within the skillset across campus, sometimes to the Henderson location in Kentucky, with a minimum of two years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience required. The unit operates with a robust leadership team, and you'll be expected to demonstrate excellent assessment and critical thinking skills while managing a 34-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4-5 during the day.
