Job Description:

Join a renowned neuro surgical unit at Deaconess Gateway for a 13-week contract as a Neuro Surgical MS RN. This role involves providing specialized nursing support for patients with cerebrovascular accidents, post-op cranial surgeries, and cerebral angiograms. You will rotate through days with 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, caring for neurological and neuro-surgical patients while collaborating with a seasoned team of nurses. Expect to perform neuro assessments, NIHSS and dysphagia screens, manage IV medications, and handle critical interventions with a good dose of professional precision. This assignment offers a chance to experience a teaching hospital setting and work in close proximity to other Deaconess campuses, with floating within skillset to maintain patient safety.
