Job Description:

This opportunity places you in an inpatient observation unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where you will be responsible for conducting clinical interviews, monitoring patients, and interpreting EKG strips within an 8-bed unit. The role involves flexible 12-hour night shifts, with coverage needed for every other weekend and holiday. You'll work a mix of high-paced admissions and discharges, managing complex conditions like COPD, CHF, and dehydration, with a focus on quick patient turnover, typically up to 48 hours. The environment calls for resilience, independence, and attention to detail, especially in charting on EPIC. Your contributions will facilitate timely care in a setting that demands adaptability and teamwork, all while ensuring compliance with policies like vaccination mandates.
