Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I trauma center in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working five 8-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, supporting a busy surgical service line with 23 operating rooms. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of general OR experience, including trauma, bariatric, and specialized surgical procedures such as laparoscopic assisted cases and microvascular skills. You will assist with a variety of cases, excluding cardiovascular, in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The position requires an active Illinois nursing license or an application in process, with a commitment to working within the scope of practice and adhering to facility protocols.
