Job Description:
This position requires a skilled sonographer with at least one year of prior Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound experience. You will be performing comprehensive obstetric ultrasounds, including first-trimester scans such as nuchal translucency and early anatomy, along with detailed second- and third-trimester anatomy surveys. Your tasks will also include conducting growth and biophysical profiles (BPP), assessing cervical length, evaluating placental health, and performing Doppler studies of the umbilical artery, MCA, and ductus venosus. Experience with high-risk and specialized exams, such as multiple gestations, amniocentesis, CVS, PUBS, and fetal reduction procedures, is essential. While sonographers do not guide the invasive procedures, understanding and supporting these processes is crucial. Beyond imaging, you will provide compassionate care to women facing high-risk pregnancies, explaining procedures with clarity and maintaining a sensitive, private environment. Accurate documentation and high-quality image acquisition, as well as entering exam data into EMR/PACS systems, are core responsibilities. You'll work closely with MFM physicians, radiologists, nurses, genetic counselors, and support staff to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary patient care. This role offers an engaging opportunity in a busy obstetric imaging setting, where your detailed work contributes directly to complex prenatal diagnoses and patient support.
