Job Description:

This 13-week travel healthcare contract places you on a busy telemetry unit that primarily handles acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients—including total joints—and a potential for stroke cases. As a registered nurse, you'll be working 12-hour night shifts with a patient ratio of 1:4 for tele patients and MedSurg patients, requiring precise reading and interpretation of Philips remote telemetry strips. The role involves managing a mix of telemetry and MedSurg cases, with a focus on delivering quality care to a variety of patients. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Experience with Cerner and comfort with post-surgical and medical diagnoses are preferred. You will work alongside a dedicated team including charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse managers, with opportunities to float to other units as needed across the facility. Every shift starts with a huddle, and you'll wear navy blue scrubs. Orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor, ensuring you're well-prepared for this fast-paced environment.
