Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in a bustling Mixed Critical Care Unit in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in medical, cardiac, surgical, and neuro cases, without trauma. You'll work 12-hour days, providing essential support in a team that manages complex conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, CKD, MOF, overdoses, OUD/SUD, and bone marrow transplant complications. The unit often floats to med-surg floors, with a priority on telemetry and occasional ED admissions for holds only. Expect to coordinate care for a diverse patient population in a 20-bed unit, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:2. This role offers a hands-on experience with cases like stroke, OUD management, and BMT complications, with helpful but not mandatory skills in technologies like Belmont Rapid Transfuser or NX Stage CRRT. You’ll need at least two years of ICU experience and familiarity with ACLS and BLS protocols to thrive here.
