Job Description:

This Operating Room Registered Nurse contract offers an engaging 13-week opportunity at a Level I trauma center in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts on a flexible weekend block schedule, specifically Fridays through Mondays from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. You'll be part of a team managing diverse surgical cases across 23 rooms, with a focus on general, trauma, and bariatric surgeries, among others. The position requires a minimum of three years of OR experience, with diverse case skills including laparoscopic procedures, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, and plastic surgery. On-call responsibilities are minimal, averaging once per week, and the facility's electronic charting system is Cerner. This assignment is best suited for skilled OR nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working with a wide variety of surgical specialties.
