Job Description:
Join our team for a 13-week contract working as a Dialysis Registered Nurse in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role involves providing expert care in an acute hemodialysis unit, with a focus on patients with complex renal conditions such as end-stage renal disease, transplant rejection, and acute kidney injuries. You'll be working a 12-hour day shift, 3 days a week, with responsibilities including managing hemodialysis treatments, supporting peritoneal dialysis when census allows, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This assignment is an excellent opportunity to apply your acute hemodialysis experience with Fresenius equipment, support a crucial specialty, and experience the distinct pace of a dedicated dialysis unit. Be prepared for some days of float coverage and the possibility of supporting support tasks in other departments when necessary. Plus, no need to worry about long-term commitments—just a focused, impactful stint in a specialized healthcare setting.

Additional details include on-call responsibilities on Sundays and every other weekend, with potential for support tasks in other units based on patient census and operational needs. Experience with Fresenius equipment and peritoneal dialysis is required, with competency in cycler use for night-shift RN applicants. The role involves working in a specialized acute hemodialysis setting with 9 stations and a focus on complex renal health conditions.
