Job Description:

This travel RN role places you on the busy surgical unit of a well-equipped hospital, where you'll be taking on 12-hour day shifts for 13 weeks. Your responsibilities will involve managing a variety of post-operative and surgical patients, including those recovering from joint replacements, hernia repairs, and other invasive procedures. Expect to handle complex cases like PICC lines, TPN, and lipid management, all while working in a fast-paced environment that buzzes with activity and critical decision-making. The unit relies heavily on primary care nursing models, virtual admission/discharge support, and a collaborative team characterized by nurses, CNAs, RTs, and techs. An EPIC experience is essential, especially as the hospital transitions through an upcoming EPIC conversion. Prepare to interpret telemetry strips, titrate titratable drips like Heparin, and navigate patient protocols confidently—all while keeping a steady focus amid the hustle.
