Job Description:

This stepdown cardiac neuro contract offers an engaging opportunity on a clinical unit that specializes in post-procedure cardiac care, neuro assessments, and critical patient interventions. You'll be working primarily during day shifts on 12-hour days, covering a 13-week assignment at Deaconess Midtown. The role involves managing patients recovering from cath/stents/interventions, monitoring for STEMI/NSTEMI, and caring for neuro patients with CVAs, seizures, or TBI. Expect to interpret 12-lead EKGs, initiate and titrate various drips, and perform neuro assessments, all while working in a busy but supportive environment. Cross-campus float to nearby Deaconess facilities may be required, providing a varied experience for adaptable travelers. This role is perfect for experienced Stepdown RNs looking to showcase their assessment skills and critical thinking in a teaching hospital setting, where precepting students and new hires might also be part of your day.
