Job Description:

Join us for an engaging 10-week contract as a Stepdown ICU RN at ThedaCare Waupaca in Wisconsin. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a level IV trauma center with higher acuity than a typical med/surg unit. You'll be responsible for caring for patients on drips, many with complex needs, in a 20-bed unit with patient ratios averaging 1:5, sometimes up to 1:7 during busier days. The shifts are 12-hour nights from 7 pm to 7 am, providing a steady rhythm and the chance to experience the beauty of rural Wisconsin while advancing your skills in critical and stepdown care. Your resilience, ability to manage change, and commitment to quality patient outcomes will shine here, especially as you navigate charting in EPIC and coordinate care across the facility and surrounding hospitals.
