Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers the chance to work in a vibrant surgical environment as an OR nurse in Rockford, Illinois. You'll be handling a diverse mix of cases across specialties such as general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic, with an average of 25-45 cases per day. The role involves scrubbing on 8-hour evening shifts, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your days off exploring the city or relaxing. The position requires at least three years of OR nursing experience and current BLS certification. You’ll work alongside skilled surgical techs, charge nurses, and a dedicated team, with a detailed orientation to get you up to speed quickly. Additional details: You will be working in a fast-paced surgical unit with a supportive team, including a charge nurse who helps coordinate patient rooms but does not take patient assignments themselves. Scrubs are provided, and casual professional dress is required when entering or leaving the facility. Orientation lasts one week, during which guaranteed hours do not apply. You will have the opportunity to work in a high-volume OR with diverse case types and a collaborative environment designed for experienced nurses ready for a new challenge.
