Job Description

This 13-week travel contract is for a Physical Therapist providing home health therapy throughout Chesapeake, Virginia, and the surrounding Coastal Virginia region. You will plan and administer medically prescribed treatments for individuals recovering from injuries or managing muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions, helping restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability in the home setting.

Your responsibilities will include educating patients and caregivers, directing therapeutic activities, supporting discharge planning, and completing required documentation. Expect approximately 6 to 7 weighted visits per day, reimbursed mileage at the applicable IRS rate, and opportunities to work with orthopedic cases on weekends. Home health experience is preferred, though first-time travelers are welcome. A Virginia Physical Therapist license may be pending, and CPR certification is required.

Job Specifics

City and State: Chesapeake, Virginia

Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; weekend coverage for orthopedic cases and approximately every fourth or fifth weekend

Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
