Job Description

Join a 13-week acute care occupational therapy contract in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You will evaluate and treat medically complex patients across inpatient acute care and rehabilitation settings, working with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical diagnoses. Responsibilities include treatment interventions, ongoing assessments, discharge recommendations, team conferences, documentation, FIMs, and the use of modalities when appropriate. The caseload averages 4–5 patients, with scheduling that may shift around procedures, nursing care, patient rest, and new orders. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while managing computerized charting and may work with tools such as UE Bioness and Dynavision. The schedule includes 1–2 weekends, with time off before or after weekend assignments. Bring your clinical judgment, adaptability, and OT toolkit to a role where no two schedules are exactly alike.
