Job Description

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Cardio Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse in Chesapeake, Virginia. You will care for complex cardiovascular and critically ill patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, CABG procedures, stroke, and other serious conditions. The unit uses a universal bed model, so the assignment also includes caring for step-down patients.

This role includes managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilated patients, arterial and pulmonary artery lines, Impella and intra-aortic balloon pumps, CRRT, EVDs, and advanced respiratory support. A typical schedule is three or four 12-hour day shifts, with floating, every-other-weekend coverage, and holidays during the contract required. Block scheduling is not available, and holiday coverage includes Christmas. An extension may be possible.
