Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract is for a PACU Registered Nurse supporting complex postoperative patients in a Level I trauma setting. You will recover surgical patients following general anesthesia, manage multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation, and provide care for cases including GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and select ENT procedures. Night-shift nurses may also pre-op first-case patients when the PACU is not busy. The assignment includes rotating overnight shifts, service-line floating within scope, and approximately 24 hours of call during each six-week scheduling period.

Expect crisp mornings, comfortable afternoons, and cooler evenings, with a mix of sunny days and occasional rain. Layered clothing and a light jacket are useful for changing temperatures.

Job Specifics:

City and State: St. Louis, Missouri
Shift: Rotating 12-hour overnight shifts, generally 6:00 PM–6:30 AM or 8:00 PM–8:30 AM, Monday through Friday; approximately 3 shifts per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 scheduled hours per week, with 40 guaranteed hours
